This image is from March 1, 2018 at LaJolla Cove, CA at about 20 minutes before sunrise. I'd gone there to photograph Sea Lions in the early light, but arrived too early for them. Luckily, the full moon had lingered just long enough above the clouds for me to set up my tripod and get a few shots. The "blue light" is just starting to reveal detail in the gnarled pines that frame the moon. What luck!
