Doonagore Castle, County Clare, Ireland by Nick Bennett
The countryside of Ireland is littered with old forts, folly's and castles. Doonagore Castle is one such place, a small walled tower near the town of Doolin. Overlooking the coast, on a clear day you can see the Aran Islands behind it. Doonagore is from the Gaelic meaning "fort of the goats", and is apparently still in use as a private holiday home!
