After spotting an unusual visitor from the north, I pulled over to capture a few images of him perched on the runway lights next to a busy airport. What an exciting find! But it got even more exciting when I realized a very large military plane was headed our way, and based on where I was sitting, it would be entering into my shot of the owl! It's hard not to start shaking so hard at that moment that you blow the shot entirely... luckily, deep breaths helped, and I got to take home a precious memory of this once in a lifetime experience.
