Treasurer’s Responsibility

The purpose of this document is to outline the responsibilities of the Treasurer for the Simsbury Camera Club (SCC).
Responsibilities include:

  1. Account for all monies of the sec
    • Deposits
    • Disbursements
  2. Track monies in the check book and on Quicken
  3. Monthly reconcile bank statement from Simsbury Bank & Trust
  4. Prepare monthly P&L statement and membership total for the President and report same at monthly board meeting
  5. Work with auditor annually to review financial practices and accuracy of documents
  6. Help develop and & monitor the annual budget
  7. Track all paid/not-paid members including:
    • Name
    • Address
    • Phone number
    • E-Mail address
    • Method, date & amount of payment
    • Annual banquet participation
  8. Prepare & file annual Federal tax filing
  9. Prepare & file annual Secretary of State filing
  10. Ensure use of tax exempt status for all club purchases
  11. Keep track of the state tax exempt number and the federal employee identification number
  12. Comply with any request from the President or sec Board relating to the club’s finances
